   While working for Pinecrest Homes in the early 1970’s as a bookkeeper, April Carlton’s interest in real estate was sparked.  She became a licensed agent in 1974 and within her first year she earned the title of “Rookie of the Year” for the entire Colorado Re/Max organization.  She soon earned her GRI  (Graduate of Realtor Institute) designation, attended classes on everything related to real estate and is now a Certified Residential Specialist.  After several years managing a Re/Max office, April and her husband, Stan, who is also a broker, decided to create their own real estate company as a means to provide their clients with the highest level of professionalism, expertise and ultimately the best possible real estate experience, bar none. Thus, The Carlton Company was born.
